Note that the RJ45 connector is not just a socket. It includes the isolation transformers, according to this datasheet: http://www.haloelectronics.com/pdf/fastjack-10-100-tx.pdf So be sure to reuse it (and not a plain socket) on your main board. The good news is that this device has VCC on pin 4 and GND on pin 8, which might solve your other problem of injecting 3.3 V into the netCF (assuming the regulator doesn't mind 3.3 V appearing on its output). -- Pascal |
