Surfing to find out was giving the "impossible contstraint" message, I found several chat's that described the same problem. The solution was to eliminate the -I/usr/include from the compile. I manually typed the compile line echo'ed from the top level build and was able to reproduce the problem: dthomas@Gum-Debian:~/gumstix-buildroot/build_arm_nofpu/vnc_unixsrc/vncviewer$ /home/dthomas/gumstix-buildroot/build_arm_nofpu/staging_dir/bin/arm-linux-uclibc-gcc -O2 -I../include -I. -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/include -I/home/dthomas/gumstix-buildroot/build_arm_nofpu/xc-011010 -I/home/dthomas/gumstix-buildroot/build_arm_nofpu/xc-011010/exports/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -Dlinux -D__arm__ -D_POSIX_SOURCE -D_BSD_SOURCE -D_GNU_SOURCE -DX_LOCALE -DFUNCPROTO=15 -DNARROWPROTO -c listen.c listen.c: In function `listenForIncomingConnections': listen.c:133: error: impossible constraint in `asm' listen.c:141: error: impossible constraint in `asm' listen.c:155: error: impossible constraint in `asm' dthomas@Gum-Debian:~/gumstix-buildroot/build_arm_nofpu/vnc_unixsrc/vncviewer$ Just eliminating the -I/usr/include and rerunning the line compiles listen.c just fine. But, I'm stil trying to find the file that sets up the -I/usr/include. I think it's an Imake template file somewhere in the tinyx source tree. Maybe that's why I get all the makedep errors and compiler warnings when I compile Tinyx. Can someone confirm they also get the makedep errors and compiler warnings (see my previous post of today) that I'm seeing? Thanks, Dave Thomas |
