Is there anyone with experience driving audio on a Gumstix from Python who
would have some recommendations/guidance/starting point? (Or even some code
This is for a BurningMan project where we’re building a giant rubix cube.
The Gumstix is the cube’s brain, and we’d like it to drive audio as well.
(It thinks in Python)
Features we’re looking for, in order of importance are:
The ability to drive sound effects.
The ability to drive them at different speeds.
The ability to drive music as well (mix down).
Because of the complexity of handling sound, my preferred implementation
would be to either drive an external program that handles it appropriately
(command line interface ideal), or connects over a network. (We have a spare
gumstix w/ expansion that we could use for that if we had to…
