I don't think that you need to do anything other than standard usage
of the serial port.
If you have one of the original console-vx boards (rev 1414), then a
hardware mod is required, since the power and ground for the BTUART
voltage converter isn't hooked up.
You can verify that the pins are configured properly by doing:
and you should output that looks like:
# cat GPIO4
42 AF1 in set
43 AF2 out set
44 AF1 in set
45 AF2 out set
Other than that, you need to open /dev/ttyS1 and your program needs to
configure the appropriate termios bits to setup hardware flow control.
