I just re-flashed with the default config for a gumstix bt and when I do a df I get the following: Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on /dev/mtdblock1 3.8M 3.6M 160.0k 96% / I'm trying to load the robostix-2.6.15.tar.gz and it keeps saying I don't have enough room. No matter how much I delete, it seems to always say I only have 160.0k free. Any ideas? |

So you'll either need to remove some stuff, or copy the robostix tar file onto an MMC or Compact flash card. If you're not using Compact flash, then you should be able to remove the IDE .ko files in /lib/modules/2.6.15gum/kernel/drivers/ide (about 160k) /lib/modules/2.6.15gum/kernel/drivers/pcmcia (about 112k) If you're not using wireless, then the .ko files in the lib/modules/2.6.15gum/kernel/drivers/net/ directory account for about 332k If you don't have ethernet then the lib/modules/2.6.15gum/kernel/drivers/net/*smc* files account for another 25k. The /lib/modules/2.6.15gum/kernel/drivers/usb has 64k in it (if you're not using USB). If you're not using bluetooth, then /lib/modules/2.6.15gum/kernel/net/bluetooth has 184k /usr/lib/libbluetooth* has about 160k Finally, if you're not using sound, then /lib/modules/2.6.15gum/kernel/sound has about 480k in it. Keep in mind that the sizes I mention above are the uncompressed sizes. JFFS2 compresses files, so removing stuff will only free up about 1/2 of the ucompressed size. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |
