I ported rdesktop to the gum a couple of weeks ago but I'm just now getting around to try it out.
I'm trying to get it to work just like it did with tightvnc. I want an XP desktop to show up on the LCD interfaced to the gumstix, but keep the mouse and keyboard control of the XP laptop on the server (XP laptop).
When I start rdesktop, I connect with no errors and get a nice windows login menu and a mouse pointer. But I can't move the mouse and keystrokes are ignored, regardless of the focus on the XP desktop.
Not sure if this is a bug I introduced doing the port, or if there is a basic incompatibility since I'm not using a "real" local keyboard and mouse on the gumstix, but a putty interface instead. (But it works fine with tightvnc).
I've also posted this question on the rdesktop mailing list.

do you mean you want to simultaneously be connected to the same
windows "session" from 2 places? ie the gumstix in read-only mode
and the console in write-only mode? I'm not sure if "session
sharing" like that is possible with rdesktop. Though actually, I
guess that's how the windows "remote assistance" thing works, so it
might be possible.
