Hi, Has anyone tried setting the time on an Air COM with Palo35? I can set the time but it won't survive shut-down. I put a ML-621S/ZTN lithium battery into B1 on the Palo35, set using <date -s' 16 Jul 2012 10:35:00'>. Does this feature not work on the Palo 35, or am I messing it up somewhere? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Rhett |

Just to clarify, are you just performing a shut-down or are you also removing power from the unit? Either way a PALO35 would not the cause problem. -----Original Message----- From: Rhett Martineau [mailto:rh...@in...] Sent: Monday, July 16, 2012 11:11 AM To: gum...@li... I am disconnecting the DC power supply, but of course leaving the battery in. I am assuming having the battery should allow the date to be preserved, I was wondering if anyone has used this before on the Palo35 (does the battery B1 even do what I think it should be doing?) After setting the system time, try to set the RTC with: hwclock --systohc --utc Such a line should exist in your shutdown scripts, but perhaps it is or disabled. Patrick |

Hi Patrick, The solution was that simple; I set the date first via date command, then set the RTC via hwclock as you spelled out. Now the date command returns the correct date, even after shutdown.
