Hi, one questions regarding the Overo's microphone: is it stereo or mono? Which is, in you opinion, the easiest way to access that microphone input by using a toby expansion board? thanks -g -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Overo-Com-Microphone-tp31609175p31609175.html Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

The microphone input for Overo is configured in analog pseudo-differential mode and acts as a mono input. Note: the connector jack on the Tobi board is however connected to Line In, not the mic-in. Well, the tps65950 should have two microphone input, the main and the sub mic: are both of them usable? Do we have the possibility to use both of them at the same time, using the alsa drivers preinstalled on the module? -g -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Overo-Com-Microphone-tp31609175p31611743.html Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

The microphone (sub and main lines) are connected in analog pseudo differential mode as per section (IIRC) 6.2.1 of the reference manual for the TPS65950. As such, it is not possible to use them as separate mic. inputs---they are used in combination in this mode. -ash On Fri, May 13, 2011 at 4:06 PM, Giovanni C <uc...@gm...> wrote: > > Well, the tps65950 should have two microphone input, the main and the sub > mic: are both of them usable? > Do we have the possibility to use both of them at the same time, using the > alsa drivers preinstalled > on the module? > > -g > -- > View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Overo-Com-Microphone-tp31609175p31611743.html > Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Achieve unprecedented app performance and reliability > What every C/C++ and Fortran developer should know. > Learn how Intel has extended the reach of its next-generation tools > to help boost performance applications - inlcuding clusters. > http://p.sf.net/sfu/intel-dev2devmay > _______________________________________________ > gumstix-users mailing list > gum...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gumstix-users > |
