Please don't shout at me if this is a stupid question, but will there
ever be a gumstix with two ethernet ports? Obviously that'd open the
door to using the gumstix as a network bridge, router and/or firewall,
as well as many other "killer" applications.
I guess it also opens up the question of extendability. For those of
us who love the gumstix for it's low price and low power usage, but
aren't so bothered about size, it'd be great to have a more general
way of extending the 'stix. At the moment the gumstix-sandwich is the
only option, and it appears that it might cause a few problems (i.e.
extension card A can't fit under card B, but can fit on top of C etc
etc). Perhaps some form of breakout board into which many extension
cards could be added would be the answer? I'm thinking of a system a
little like plugging in a PCI card...?
I guess you've thought about this; I mention it only because it'd be
perfect for the needs of the project I'm working on.
