Has anyone else had issues with the Overo Fire COM and Summit or Tobi
deforming, possibly due to high running temperature. We have seen this with
a couple of sets. After a few months use the Overo will not sit correctly
in the expansion board. We are using the plastic spacers supplied by
Gumstix. We have a heat sink (designed for RAM modules) on the WIFI.

We've had problems with the spacers not keeping the boards mated and
using small bolts to keep the boards fastened together.
Thought it was way they were handled
(installed/removed by tradesmen in a sports stadium on temporary mounts
- boxes screwed to a piece of timber which was nail gunned to a wall).
Summer air temps here(Australia) can easily hit 45*C , have had
airtemps in boxes in the sun hit 60*C (65*C if roadside - not gumsix).
Gumstix overo earth's kept running fine with heatsink and fan and fan on
the box in 35 to 45*C.
For one project batteries were/are the problem especially over 35*C.
have to keep a close eye on temp range and look at cooling them
depending on what you are using
and avoid charging if the temp is 35 - 40*C or above (charge at
