My recent order of a Thumbo and a Pinto-TH arrived today nicely packaged
in a bubble wrap baggie which was put inside a shipping carton. I am
guessing that the shipping carton is a new feature of how Gumstix'
warehouse packs pending orders. Bravo! Using boxes greatly reduces the
chance of product damage in transit. While none of my products from
Gumstix have arrived damaged, I always wondered if shipping products in
soft bubble wrap bags was a good idea -- what happens if someone steps
on the bag in a shipper's sorting center, for example?
Anyhow good show.
This is my second Pinto-TH board and my first Thumbo. Steve Sakoman's
blog about how useful they are on breadboards really got my attention.
