Hi All I am trying to kick off a script AFTER the Overo is done booting. The script would disable the onboard Wifi, setup some GPIO bits and kick off an image capture application. Questions: What is the equivalent of a cron job on the Gumstix? How do I know which wlanXX corresponds to which wireless interface? For e.g. before I issue an ifdown command for the onboard one, i would need to know that. Please advise. thanks Azhar -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/crontab%2C-wlan-etc...-tp29771727p29771727.html Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

With wifi the adapters should always come up with the same wlan0 or whatever yours is for each one. I have a total of 6 wifi adapters and mine always boot with the same wlan* discriptors. |

Hi JL Thanks for replying. Its true that all the systems we have come up with the same wlan* each time. But each system comes up with its own unique wlan*. So the software needs to be system specific. This is the case even though the hub has all the usb devices connected at the same locations. I'll try and install crontab. Azhar, RE: wlanX; the software needs to be system specific the wlan id is controlled by udev it can be made non-specific, meaning always wlan0, for what ever device is used by removing rm -f /etc/udev/rules.d/*persistent-net.rules rm -f /etc/udev/rules.d/*persistent-net-generator.rules Xpersistent-net.rules carries the udev assigned wlanX and mac address. You can assign manually here if you like. you can also rename then instead. -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/crontab%2C-wlan-etc...-tp29771727p29785078.html Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

Hi Paul, Paul Nolan a écrit : > Azhar, > > >> I am trying to kick off a script AFTER the Overo is done booting. It will install the simlinks into rc*.d.
