I'm trying to send files to my Overo Water via the USB cable connect to the
Currently I've been transferring files using the MicroSD card and this has
Really, I guess the question is:
How do I build lrzsz for the Overo?
It does not seem to come down as part of the Open Embedded tree.
$ git clone git://gitorious.org/gumstix-oe/mainline.git org.openembedded.dev
$ cd org.openembedded.dev
$ git checkout --track -b overo origin/overo
Is there a git repository where it can be downloaded from?
If there is an alternate way to transfer files to the Gumstix Overo from the
host machine, I'd be happy to do that as well.

I just did a "bitbake lrzsz" from within overo-oe and it completed
just fine. Was there a specific error you were seeing?

Turns out I had an incomplete tree pulled down.
TO FIX: [note your directories and file names may vary]
Update Source Tree
$ cd ~/overo-oe/org.openembedded.dev
$ git pull
Build the Utility
$ cd ~/overo-oe
$ bitbake lrzsz
Copy Package from Dev Machine to (non-bootable) MicroSD:
$ cp tmp/deply/glibc/ipk/armv7a/lrsz_0.12.20-r4.2_armv7a.ipk /media/disk
[/media/disk is my mounted MicroSD card on my dev machine]
$ umount /media/disk
Install Package on Gumstix:
[Assume dev machine is connected to Gumstix console port.
* Power off Gumstix
* Insert MicroSD
* Power up Gumstix
overo login: root
# opkg install /media/mmcblk0p1/lrsz_0.12.20-r4.2_armv7a.ipk
Check to see everything is installed:
# rz --version
rz (lrzsz) 0.12.20
I'm good to go!
