I sent an email to this list earlier in the month (9th May) with
subject: "Can't build initial OE checkout"
shortly after my email another hit the list from David Frank with
subject :"gumstix-oe bitbake perl-5.8.8-r25"
My build problems were in perl-5.8.8-r13 I've read a few people having a
problem with building on a USB Drive which is what I'm doing as I'm
trying to build this on an Eee PC with limited memory. I'm having no
luck on what I'm trying. I can build it from an ubuntu machine onto a
USB drive so I'm not sure if that's the problem.
This time I've a smaller question. Can I remove Perl-5.8.8 from my
gumstix-basic-image and have the gumstix still work or is that going to
cause more trouble then it's worth? If it can be removed from the build
is there a recommended method to remove it?
thanks for any advice.
