Hi, Can I write a script that interact with the GPIO, CF and LCD? The script will access the GPIO and check if it is high. If the GPIO is high, the compact flash bootups and run an animation file and display this onto a LCD. Could I launch a media application from bootup? Cheers Paul |

You can check the status of a GPIO line by doing: modprobe proc_gpio cat /proc/gpio/GPIO47 > Could I launch a media application from bootup? yes. At boot time, all scripts in the /etc/init.d directory that start with S followed by a two digit number are run and passed the parameter 'start'. I'd probably pick S99foo (replace foo with something meaningful) so your script runs after everything else has been initialized. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |

Dear List, Does anybody know how to get the MLO/x-loader version from the u-boot script environment? I have a number of Overos out in the field that need upgrading. The new image version has some u-boot/uImage pinmux changes so u-boot is updated. As this version of u-boot is from the latest source it may need a newer MLO/x-loader. I have a boot.scr that will load the new MLO/x-load into NAND but I'd like to be able to check the version of MLO/x-loader to see if it actually needs updating. When the board boots the x-loader version is printed, does u-boot have assess to this information? Cheers Mike. -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Boot-script-tp31787963p31787963.html Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
