Hello all, We are using the Overa air COM. And the expansion board is summit. Now we have to use two serial ports, but there is just one can be used--the pin9 and pin10 in the 40-pin header, iit is the ttyS0. And the console is ttyS2, now I want to uss UART3 (ttyS3) for my console, free ttyS2 forcommunications. What should I do to make this change? Another problem is how to change the baudrate of ttyS0, the default baudrate is 9600, but my MTi baudrate is 115200, and now connect the MTi tottyS0, run the program showing can’t find the MTi. If use usb-hub everything OK . I try to use ./sertest –d –p ttyS0 –b 115200 in gumstix, but it shows can’t find this command,Anyone help? Thanks! |

Hello, the Overo has three UARTs: ttyS0 is UART1, ttyS1 is UART2, ttyS2 is UART3. ttyS3 doesn't physically exist. You can change baudrates using stty: stty -F /dev/ttyS0 115200. You mentioned ttyS3. is it should be ttyS1? There are some threads mentioned how to use ttyS1 as a serial communication port. but it is too hard to me. That is why i trying to use ttyS2. If you have any luck in using ttyS2 as serial communication port, could you please let me. I currently got problem in using ttyS2.
