I am having quite a bit of trouble transfering files to my Gumstix. I have
been using the microSD card up until now but that is getting very
frustrating. I have read some other posts which seem to give several options
to directly connect to the Gumstix via the Console or OTG port.
My first attempt was to send files through Minicom. I created the lrzsz
images and installed the application and changed my Minicom file settings to
Flow control NO
However, when I try and connect to the USB0 port via Minicom it says "device
is locked" and can't connect. I tried connecting before I powered up the
Gumstix and after powering up, as well as sudo but had no luck. Any
I also reconfigured my conf file to make my USB OTG a peripheral device. I
downloaded a new omap3-console-image, the next step is to bitbake. I want to
know if I change the port to peripheral, can I still use it as an OTG port
This brings me to my last question, perhaps a bit of a novice question, when
I hookup my Gumstix in the OTG setup with HDMI, if I boot from my mmc I only
get a giant command screen but if I boot from the NAND I get the full
desktop. I copied the NAND bootup from the mmc, so I am confused why it only
works with one bootup and not the other.
I am feeling a bit lost, any help would be greatly appreciated!
