HI, I am developing a sensor and audio recorder for a device that will be atached to a whale. I am using an overo fire with summit. Because the device will be completelly covered by epoxi (underwater) I need to control it via remote desktop or something like this. My problem is that I have to login, and after that the network control is available. do you have any idea to manage autologin or connect all the wireleess network before it? thanks a lot daniel -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Autologin-in-overo-with-gnome-9-tp26009695p26009695.html Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

I am using a gnome 9r8 version for overo fire and summit machine. I need to do an autologin in order to have access to remote destop without to writte login and password. I modify the gdm/custom.conf file following http://library.gnome.org/admin/gdm/2.27/gdm.html [daemon] TimedLoginEnable=false TimedLogin="my login" TimedLoginDelay=30 Then I copy a gdm file to a gdm-autologin file in pam directory with the following ( http://library.gnome.org/admin/gdm/stable/security.html.en) gdm-autologin auth required pam_unix_cred.so.1 gdm-autologin auth sufficient pam_allow.so.1 gdm-autologin account sufficient pam_allow.so.1 gdm-autologin session sufficient pam_allow.so.1 gdm-autologin password sufficient pam_allow.so.1 Then I reboot, the first screen show that is autologging, but after a few seconds a message appear (login denied). So, i don't know how to resolve this,,, Coudl you fix it? danielpereZ wrote: > > HI, I am developing a sensor and audio recorder for a device that will be > atached to a whale.
