I have an ethernet bridge built from Connex and Netduo cards which seems to
pass traffic transparently under the configuration I have made. Now, as I
start to learn about what I can do with iptables, I don't see the results I
I have done this once before, on a full up Linux (Ubuntu) node, and I am
trying to duplicate the same now on the Gumstix. What I cannot tell is, if
I've forgotten something about what I learned the first time, or, if I've

To me, the most telling symptom is that the following basic iptable command
iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING -j DROP. Traffic moves merrily along
despite this command.
Also, a command to LOG everything on this chain only results in messages
from the UDP protocol. Do these symptoms indicate anything specific that I
may be missing from my configuration? I searched through the mailings and
it seems like others have been successful at settings this basic bridge, but
I must be missing something.
For my gumstix-custom-image.bb, I have the following:

I can post other configuration items if it will help.
My gratitude in advance,
