I have a verdex pro xm4 and am trying to load a new image and root file
system over ethernet that enables v4l and gets rid of mouse, touchscreen,
blue tooth, and sound modules. I have successfully loaded a new image on in
the past but cannot get my current new kernel to load. I followed all the
instructions found on the gumstix site for flashing over ethernet and all
recommendations for building a new kernel (keep the files in user.collection
etc). I've tried and messed up 2 of my 3 gumstix, both of which are being
sent back for re flashes. I did not edit uboot either time.
When I turn the gumstix on after the new image is on, the led on the netstix
lights up, I get gibberish over a radio I have on the main serial port, and
the board gets really really hot.
Anyone have any ideas as to where I should start looking for the problem? I
thought maybe a corrupted kernel but everything checked out the second time
I loaded it on that end. My /tmp folder is a microSD card where I'm loading
