I having a little trouble logging in to my connex board via /dev/ttyUSB0 using minicom (using ubuntu 7.10). During bootup, minicom relays various banners and confirmations of progress (so some sort of connection has been forged), however, eventually these stop and I expect to be presented with a login prompt, but one isn't presented. I am confused, as at this point I don't know how to provoke the device to further action. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dorian

First did you try just pressing enter or any key after the boot process
finishes? Sometimes you need to do that to get the prompt to display.
Second check your /etc/inittab file (on the Gumstix) and make sure that the
serial console is configured to be a terminal
