Im using Gumstix verdex platform with net-microSD board.
The question i have is, if i have 2 independent linux kernels and root file
systems at the same time, one on the internal verdex flash and one on the
microSD card, is there any way to use this setup as in a fail safe scenario.
For example. boot up from the internal board flash and do a file system and
kernel overwrite from user space.
Something happens during the overwrite and the internal flash file system
and/or kernel image becomes unusable, is there a way to detect this at a
boot time with u-boot and in this case, boot up from the microSD card? Maybe
some kind of script or diagnostic is available within u-boot?
Thanx in advance
