All, I apologize for the last message. I was bitten by autocomplete in my mail program. Let me try again. I have a couple of questions that I was hoping that I could get answered here. First, has anyone looked at merging the buildroot changes as provided in the Gumstix subversion repository into a patch that could be applied to the official buildroot release? It doesn't appear that it would be *too* hard to do, but I've only taken a cursory look at it. It seems that it might be easier to try different configurations of installed packages and such if it were set up like this. Also, I've been running into some difficulties building the toolchain and uClinux on Mac OS X 10.4.2. So far, most of these have been problems with the -d and --no-dereference options for cp (which don't exist for cp on Tiger). I have two patches that fix these (I'd be happy to share these - Craig, are you the official maintainer?). I'm also running into a problem compiling the zlib library, but I'll hopefully be able to figure this one out. Has anyone gotten a full build through though on Mac OS X? Thanks, Joe |

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I maintain a branch of gumstix specifically for building on OSX which gets occasionally merged back into the trunk. It's a bit behind the (b)leading edge right now but it does build on Tiger. You can get it with svn co http://svn.rungie.com/svn/gumstix-buildroot/branches/users/ scudderfish I fully intend to merge in the latest trunk changes, but as always it's a matter of finding the time :) Regards, Dave On 21 Jul 2005, at 00:04, Joseph Hosteny wrote: > All, > > I apologize for the last message. Joe, if you'd like a writable directory in the subversion repo, let me know. Might make it easier for you and Dave to coordinate if you plan on working together on this stuff.
