What you need to do is install the ncurses-dev package:
apt-get install ncurses-dev
after that you should be good to go.
I used the SDK instructions on the Wiki page.
The download of gumstix-buildroot worked and the next command of 'make defconfig; make' also worked.
But when I try and do the 'make menuconfig' like it says in the Display Wiki page I get the error that it can not find -lncurses.
gumstix@colinux:$ make menuconfig
make -C package/config ncurses conf mconf
make: Entering directory `/home/gumstix/gumstix-buildroot/package/config'
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lncurses
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
>> Unable to find the Ncurses libraries.
>> You must have Ncurses installed in order
>> to use 'make menuconfig'
>> Maybe you want to try 'make config', which
>> doesn't depend on the Ncurses libraries.
make: *** [ncurses] Error 1
make: Leaving directory `/home/gumstix/gumstix-buildroot/package/config'
make: *** [package/config/mconf] Error 2
One person said to include 'TARGTS+=nano' to get lncurses library built but this seems to be an old fix because of the new buildroot stucture.
I have also read the documentation in the docs directory and still no luck.
