Don't forget about current which you need to power up your board + usb device.
This one  https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10255  for 5V can 600mA max (this will be enough for Tobi+Tide+USB cam)

Hello,

Some digging through the mailing list archives tells me that the
Gallop43's built-in battery connector is meant to handle a 2.4V supply,
as from a two-cell NiMH battery. I can easily get those batteries, but I
also need the board to supply 5V power to a USB device. Will 2.4V
battery power on the Molex connector be sufficient to power USB devices,
or will I need to supply 5V power over the ordinary power connector?

Also, any tips on connecting devices to the USB OTG port would be
appreciated; I'm not sure what sort of cable or adapter I'll need.

Thanks,

Alex Reinhart
