Thanks for the responses, Craig.  Just a quick follow up – by the latest buildroot you mean 1066 or THE LATEST (i.e. 1080)?  I’ve been using 658 because I can’t get CF WIFI to work on the 950+ buildroots.  Advice on which one to pick would be greatly appreciated…


Also, just FYI, I’m not concerned about this warning causing me problems…I’m using iwlist in a background task and the warning gets spewed to the console periodically which is merely annoying.  I’m not much of a Linux expert, perhaps someone can share a way of redirecting the console output (say to a file) when I launch the task?

The latest buildroot has wireless-tools version which matches the  
kernel wireless-tools version.  If they mismatch, then you get this  
error message.
