I have noticed different behaviors for networking if your going through the console and using it as normal. When going through console network ran into more issues and did not seem to come up on its own. Why not try experimenting a few different ways. And from your other threads it does not sound like you are even using a graphical desktop image so NM is not really needed as once you manually setup it up once just make a script to do everytime there after. Honestly NM isnt needed on the Desktop image either. I cant stand NM and its performance, I always use manually on my console images or on a few images I have made a wicd recipe which is like NM but in my opinion works better, but again its not needed.

I would start making your own recipe to build an image the way you personally need it, you will find it saves a ton of un needed headaches

Good luck

Hello All;

David said something about “Network Manager”. Perhaps I should have stated earlier that I am

communicating with the Overo, using the console port.

For my development system, should I invest in an HDMI display and add a keyboard and mouse to

the system ? (I have plenty of keyboards an mice.)

Thanks …

Bill
