Dear Neil,

Thanks for your answer. As you supposed my Overo's image doesn't have the cdc_acm driver installed. I have a theory related to this issue. I bought both the Overo Fire and RobOvero to a distributor in Europe (France), and we had to wait almost for a month while Robovero was sent from US; maybe, and this is just my theory ;), in France they did have the Overo Fire in stock with an old image which doesn't include the appropriate drivers. Should I complete some compilation steps given here http://wiki.gumstix.org/index.php?title=RoboVero?

Thanks and I'll be waiting for your answer.

Best regards,

Hello Juan,

The ttyUSB(0/1) devices are the FTDI console port and JTAG. This
confirms that the Overo has control of the hub. Since you can run
examples from an external machine the firmware must be ok.

What image are you running on the Overo? One item to confirm is that
the cdc_acm driver is installed. Using my latest build with an Overo
Air I get

# modprobe cdc_acm
usbcore: registered new interface driver cdc_acm
cdc_acm: USB Abstract Control Model driver for USB modems and ISDN adapters

Let us know if this helps. I think another user was having a similar problem.

Hi everyone,

We just bought an Overo Fire to be used over a Robovero expansion board. I've been able to communicate from my laptop (Mac OS X) to the Robovero board. I run some examples from my Mac, including the IMU and ADC ones. I also communicated to the Overo Fire using Kermit, I set up the wifi connection, and now I'm connecting to the Overo Fire through SSH. However, when I pretended to run the same Python examples (I already installed the dependencies), I can't see the USB device from the Overo. When I checked the devices 'ls /dev', I don't see /dev/ttyACM0:
