You would have to check the PXA-XXX documentation. I know with the ds1337 chips you can configured 4 pins to pull high/low based on events. Plus with having to power the entire pxa-xxx chip I'm not sure how power efficient it would be. (considering the ds1337 can run off a 3v cr2032 for ~10 years)
