I ran into the same issue just yesterday.  Take the attached patch
file and series file and put them in
<gumstix-buildroot>/target/device/Gumstix/basix-connex/kernel-patches
(the series file is replacing the series file already in that
directory).  Then you should be able to rebuild the kernel with
ucb1400-ts support without error.
