You can also use metal 0-72 IIRC that work pretty well. That's what I'm using at the moment. I just use some nylon washers to make sure the screw head doesn't touch. 1/2 should be plenty long for any thing you need (I'm using 1/2 and it's just right for NetMMC+connex xm-bt+Robostix. I ordered from mc-master but you should be able to go to ace hardware and get the same things.
