I haven't gotten samba running on the gumstix, but I have had it
running on other ARM platforms (both client and server).

I seem to recall that the configuration file not being in the expected
place can cause it to segfault. I seem to recall that I ran with one
of the debug options to see what samba was doing. You could also try
using strace.
