I use scp to copy it over - assuming you have an Ethernet connection. Else
you can place it on a sd or cf card.

scp ~/gumstix/gumstix-oe/tmp/deploy/glibc/ipk/armv5te/<mysql ipk file>
root@192.160.0.2:/home/root if you have enough space on you gumstix


ipkg install <path to file>/<mysql ipkg file>

else copy it to you /media/cf or /media/card  ( that the sd card)

if you need to install it on sd card because of memory limitations.

Follow these directions which requires special ipk option for install
destination and creating required links
