your stuff might be interesting, and I'll be happy to look at your first pre-alpha version for gumstix, and try to participate.

what do you think about :
 webstix-explorer to see/modify files easily, or some other actions on it (download, upload, (un)gzip, madplaying ..)
 webstix-services to start/stop services, and poweroff/reboot the system
 webstix-console to have a console through HTTP
 webstix-gpsd to visualise gps information from a working gpsd
 webstix-sysguard to show cpu/mem/filesystem/network consumption, running processes, logs, etc.
 webstix-uprecords to log uptimes ;)
 webstix-flasher to enable flashing u-boot and linux easily
I'll tell you if I find other ideas ! :D
