So if I need 1000mah and get a 2000mah pack, does it hurt me to get one rated at 10C instead of just say 4C?

And do I need to charge it with a higher current than the 4C version?

I was thinking of getting some packs I saw on another site, they were rated at 10,000mah at 5C I beleive.  I was thinking to have the extra capacity to way improve runtime.  (2 GM's with GPS, Wifi, CF etc all running at same time...  Gonna 'need' the power...)

Subject: Re: [Gumstix-users] Li-PO battery Packs

C ratings indicate discharge/charge rates. A 2000mah pack with a 10C
continuous discharge rate would equate to a 20A maximum discharge rate
(2000mah * 10C = 20,000mA). Also keep in mind that these limits are
often overestimated, and lithium batteries have a wonderful tendency to
blow up if discharged too quickly.

The C rating you need depends on how much current your equipment draws.
