Problem solved. Configuration incorrect.
Somebody of my personal changes me the configuration by default of my "personal" Gumstix (where makes my trys).

What ping command are you trying which is failing?  The following
should work fine:

ping 127.0.0.1
ping localhost

What is the error message you're getting when ping doesn't work?
