Eduardo,

Greate information. Thank you. I tried openembedded tree for 3 days and switch to gumstix tree today for my overo board. But first try is failed like

bitbake omap3-console-image
WARNING: No matches in filesystem for /home/intel/overo-oe/user.collection in COLLECTIONS
ERROR: IO Error: [Errno 1] Operation not permitted

I do not have this error in openembedded tree.

Why got IO Error?

List,

I just create user.collection with nothing inside.
What should I put inside user.collection to bitbake omap3-console-image or
simply do not need it?

for example, if you want to have your own linux package versions and not mixed with the provided by openembedded, you could copy org.openembedded.dev/recipes/linux to user.collection/recipes , and now your build system will take the linux packages from your user collections instead the packages provided by org.openembedded.dev

is very useful for customization purposes,

best,
