Do you maybe need a kernel module / driver for bridge utils?

Subject: [Gumstix-users] Installing bridge-utils for bridging ethernet connections

Hi All!

I am interested in bridging my eth0 with eth1 in my tobi duo board. So for example, whatever packets arrive on eth0 should be routed to eth1 and vice versa.

I read up that I need to download bridge-utils which will allow me to make such a bridging possible. After downloading an ipk image, I did an opkg install and it seemed to work fine. However, upon creating a bridge:

brctl addbr br0

It gives me an error:

add bridge failed: Package not installed.

Have I missed out something? Is there any alternative to be able to bridge 2 ethernet connections?

Thanks for your help.
