#22 Display frame numbers

It would be incredibly useful for animators if MPC
displayed frame numbers as it played.

    It can't be entirely impossible, because it's done in zoom
    player. The way to access it in zoom player is by going to
    the 'dialogs' menu then click 'playing information' in the
    submenu. In the dialog box that pops up you'll find a field
    that tells the current frame number.

    I don't doubt that this isn't perfectly accurate, but it's
    close enough for using as reference in animation.

    Also, the quicktime player can display timecode (which is
    also useful) by opening up the 'movie properties' dialog.

    if you use ffdshow (and you should), bring up its info tab
    while the media is playing and the frame number is displayed.

    Well, that's not all that useful since the info tab is modal
    and precludes access to the player while it's up. Also, when
    the media is paused it doesn't show the frame number in the
    ffdshow info. What I'm looking for is something that would
    be accessable while scrubbing the media.
