    Hi All,

for some reasons i have to rename the extension of my "*.dvr-ms" - files to ".dvr".
If i open a dvr-ms-File with MPC everything plays fine. But if i open the same file with the renamed extension ("dvr"), mpc plays it very slow (slower than slow motion). It seems to me, that mpc uses the extension-name to find the right codec to use.

Can i force mpc to play my "dvr"-extension the same way as it plays "dvr-ms"-files? How can i do that?

    Thanks in avance,

    Mads

It seems to me, that mpc uses the extension-name to find the right codec to use.

You can test this hypothesis by right-clicking in the video window, opening the Filters menu and comparing the filter set between invocations of MPC with both files.

    Hmmm

I tried to call the context menu but it was not possible. MPC seems to use all cpu power to render the ".dvr"-named file. But if MPC uses a different codec, what can i do?

How can i force mpc to treat/play my ".dvr"-named files the same way as it plays "dvr-ms"-files? How can i do that?
