It's not like the current tag library has gotten > any worse, and we're not drowning in bugs or complaints. :) I'm under the impression that it's just a C file + the corresponding .h and that we can detect at compile time whether to use our version or the system one. Even if the bindings are integrated upstream, it will take ~1 year until they are in a release and they are available on people's systems. So it makes sense to ship these as a temporary measure I think. Christophe |
