All the music that is currently on my iPod is on my filesystem. However, when
I put it on the iPod, I used iTunes through a samba share to add it, so all
the paths will be different. Now, I'm switching to gtkPod. I know that I can
make gtkPod recognize duplicates via MD5.
Will gtkPod associate the files on proper files in the iPod's database with
the proper songs on disk? If not, how can I get it to do that?
What I'm worried about is changing ID3 tags. I assume that changes the MD5
of a file, and thus I'll get duplicates on my iPod.
What is the best way to go about this change? (I do have the Windows iTunes
database that I used to sync last, if that helps...)
