Additionally it does not show up in fstab or via the df -h command.

Subject: [Gtkpod-questions] 2G iPod Touch Mounted but not in /dev

I've installed the packages recommended at the following link:

http://marcansoft.com/blog/2009/10/i...cing-on-linux/

My iPod mounts to the desktop (displays both a camera and iPod icons on the desktop) and shows up in Rhythmbox. When - via Rhythmbox - I copy songs from the filesystem to the iPod, it acts like the song is copied (as shown in Rhythmbox), but does not show up in the iPod's local music.

The iPod does not show up in gtkpod and I can't load it.

Also, there is no sdb1 device in /dev and nothing mounted in /media or /mnt.

How can this device be mounted on the desktop if it doesn't appear to be mounted anywhere in the filesystem and no device for it exists?
