> hugs support preeemptive multithreading, so i don't see problems here i am probably out of date -- i was trying to find out from google searching if when i write code using Control.Concurrent it isn't 100% portable between GHC and Hugs. from what i read, there are differences. but i have never tried a test of it or anything. (i'm a Haskell newbie, only using GHC so far). > gtk2hs afair isn't hugs compatible, though that would be OK since my intent is to use Gtk2Hs just as a way to build something on Windows, but then port to other machines that don't have Gtk at all -- keep the "model" core code, plug in a different graphics/io system. which is one reason why i want a cleaner architecture than getting involved with callbacks and stuff. sincerely. |
