I don't know why, but i have some real trouble installing gtk2hs on windows. I tried this on 2 Windows XP Professional machines and one Vista machine. What I did: I installed the haskell platform version: 2010.2.0.0 (downloaded via http://hackage.haskell.org/platform/windows.html ) after that i downloaded the gtk bundle version 2.20 ( http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/binaries/win32/gtk+/2.20/gtk+-bundle_2.20.1-20100912_win32.zip ) and set the path to the \bin folder furthermore i run "cabal update" and afterwards i executed "cabal install gtk2hs-buildutils". (I also made sure that the path to cabal\bin is in my path, even though I don't think that that is really necessary, because he could find gtk2hsC2hs.exe without that) And now i try to execute "cabal install gtk", which results in an error. He says that he can't find the command "cpp". I assume that is the c re-processor or something like that, but i can't find one for windows. So what am I doing wrong in reality? (I kind of assume that I made a stupid mistake somewhere) |
