Hi, I decided to give it a shot at school's Sun Blade 100. It configures allright, but compilation fails at: ----- gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../.. -I/local/apps/Libraries/glib-1.2.8/lib/glib/include -I/local/apps/Libraries/glib-1.2.8/include -D_REENTRANT -I/local/apps/Libraries/gtk+-1.2.8/include -I/local/apps/Libraries/glib-1.2.8/lib/glib/include -I/local/apps/Libraries/glib-1.2.8/include -I/usr/openwin/include -I/nfs/home/users/simon/local/include/gnome-xml -O6 -Wall -I../../.. -I../../../include -c volume.c -fPIC -DPIC -o volume.o volume.c:27: sys/soundcard.h: No such file or directory *** Error code 1 make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `volume.lo' Current working directory /tmp/simon/gstreamer-0.2.0/plugins/effects/volume ----- Obviously, available GStreamer usage is of little use on Solaris until there is a sunaudiosink etc., but it would still be nice to be able to compile the framework, if not just for the purpose of writing that plugin. So, do you think that the new audio type system will be in place before 0.2.0? If not, I would suggest that autoconf checks for sys/soundcard.h and disables all appropriate plugins. Some other tiny comments: * In README, it says "This is gnome-streamer, a framework for streaming media in GNOME." AFAIK, the name is GStreamer, and it's trying to be a general non-GNOME-specific framework, right? * In REQUIREMENTS, it would be nice to point out that the gtk+ requirement is going away, and that libxml and not libxml2 is the one that is needed. Thanks, Simon. |
