The crop tool does nothing. This may be the same as the closed bug 2902571

I open a few .tif files and choose tools->crop.
In the crop dialog I specify values for x y w h and click apply and nothing happens.

The following code at line 8911 in the crop function returns because get_selection returns nothing.
my $sel = $selector->get_selection;
return if ( not defined $sel );

A partial workaround is to 'edit'->'select'->'all' after loading the files. This seems to make get_selection work sometimes.

Ubuntu 12.04 and gscan2pdf 1.0.5

Discussion

  • Please try the attached patch.

    A workaround is also to select the selector tool instead of the hand tool before cropping.

    patch 0001-Fixed-cropping-when-selector-tool-not-active-or-page works OK.

    I've tested with single and multiple and all selected pages, as well as with the 'all' selected in the crop dialog, and it works OK with both the hand tool and selector tool.

    Thanks!
