hi:

We have installed some last versions of this marvellous groupware application and we are having the same problem with the LDAP authentication: we get an INSERT INTO error due to a field called "Photo". We use LDAP v3.

Thanks in advance. Regards,

Manuel

The bug is due to the application doesn't create some fields in the database. You have in the Users table, to create the Photo, Key and Samba_user fields.

You can solve this in 3 different ways:
Upgrade to the latest Version from CVS/SVN
Alter your users table and add a new field called Photo
    * remove the line that contains "photo" from the mapping file in lib/ldap.

Our experience says upgrading last version didn't work. It's not only adding the Photo field. You have to add/remove (depending on which solution) two more fields: key and samba_users.

"some last versions" != current development (svn) version.

i'll reinstall the current svn version in my local virtual machine and test it again, but i think this should already be solved. i'll keep you informed.

We haven't tried the current development version. We aren't going to install a development version in a final system. We tried with some of the last stable versions.

You only have to be sure the version in development has got the changes I said to you.

I just tried again. The current development version works. There've been some modifications to LDAP code since the latest release to make it easier to support different types of LDAP servers, and modify how the Group-Office users table columns map to the LDAP attributes of the account.

    Thank's for your supporting information.

    best regards, Markus
