#68 Surrogate Tasks / Dynamic Thread Creation

Hi,

I'd like to see built-in support for some sort of "Surrogate task" that can run in a pool of managed threads with its own statistics context. Otherwise i think it would be useful to have the ability to dynamically create threads, as needed,from within a jython script.
