My gretl 1.7.8 (Win XP) is reading the missing values of STATA INT variables as the number 32741. Note that STATA's INT variable type has maximum value 32740, so gretl's 32741 for missing is perhaps intelligible to programmers. For now I can set the missing value code to 32741 in gretl, but that doesn't seem like a long run fix. Thanks for your efforts. -- jim

Just a "meta" note: I've stated repeatedly that it's too much hassle to contact people with private mail. So Jim, I'm sorry we won't use that email address you left around. If people report bugs "anonymously" (i.e., without a sourceforge id, which is fine) it's up to them to check back. (Allin, we probably should state this in the comment on the bug reporting page, but I don't have the time right now.) Fortunately Jim's report is very clear, so no further input may be needed?

    cheers,
    sven

Should be fixed now, in CVS and Windows snapshot.
